There certainly was no shortage of drama this year at the Oscars, and I'm not just talking about the Best Picture mix-up! 😬😬😬 There were SO many showstopping jewelry pieces on the carpet, from the Tiffany & Co. 'Whispers of the Rain Forest' necklace worn by Jessica Biel to the fierce ruby headpiece and earrings worn by Ruth Negga, designed by Irene Neuwirth. Charlize Theron seriously hit it out of the park this year, dripping in diamonds by Chopard.
These NEXT LEVEL mismatched earrings from Chopard's "Garden of Kalahari Collection" contained over 50 carats of D-flawless diamonds.
The actress' earrings featured a 25-carat pear-shaped D-flawless diamond on one ear, and 26-carat heart-shaped D-flawless diamond on the other. Also encrusted on the magnificent set were 4.55-carats of pear-shaped diamonds and 4.35-carats of brilliant-cut diamonds set in 18kt white ‘Fairmined’ gold. She also wore a ring featuring a 7.11-carat pear-shaped diamond and 1.14-carat of diamonds set in 18kt white gold, and another ring featuring a 4.04-carat diamond set in 18kt white gold both from the “High Jewelry Collection.”

Last week we experienced a fantastic supermoon - "super" because it's the closest full moon to Earth since 1948, and won't be this close again until 2034! The moon brightens our dark nights and reminds us of the vast outer space of what we haven't yet explored. It is truly awe-inspiring... below you will find a selection of gorgeous pieces of jewelry that do the same.
Sarah Jessica Parker and Kat Florence Present Magnificent Jewelry Charity Auction Benefiting A Drop of Life
Jewelry Designer Kat Florence will be presenting some of her most precious pieces worth over $3 million, to be auctioned at Tiancheng International in Hong Kong on June 12th at 3PM. She has partnered up with actress and fashion entrepreneur Sarah Jessica Parker, to benefit the Nepal Earthquake victims. This special auction is expected to draw between 3 and 4 million dollars. There will be a total of 38 pieces to be auctioned, including four of which have been worn by the actress. Among the amazing pieces presented at this auction include world record stones including the largest Tanzanite and Paraiba Tourmaline ever to be auctioned, at a whopping 420 carats and 92 carats, respectively. For the first time in auction history, all 38 items will be offered at no reserve.
"I’m deeply touched by this meaningful auction and I am very excited about the organization that we picked. It felt like such a personal effort, like they were reaching to individuals in a community. I think this can be really impactful," commented Sarah Jessica Parker on the news of the auction.
The beneficiary, A Drop of Life, is a non-profit whose main initiative for 2016 is to reconstruct an elementary school for 420 children in Pokhara, Nepal following the devastating earthquakes last year.
About Kat Florence
Kat Florence jewelry is timeless. The Canadian-born, world-travelling designer searches for the rarest, oldest and most sought-after natural gemstones in existence. Once she acquires a rare gem the precise art of gem cutting begins. The size, angle and profile of each cut can capture intrinsic light and reveal the full potential of the gemstone.
Each gem becomes the start of a new creation that exudes a romantic passion for life making the jewelry so compelling. Kat Florence design pairs the fluidity of materials with the radiance of light. The exceptional skill and remarkable craftsmanship of its jewelers and gem-setters allow Kat Florence designs to fully express emotion, excellence and brilliance while maintaining every minute detail of individual design. Ultimately, passion is the driving force behind each Kat Florence piece.
“I am fortunate to be in the position to decide how to encase such rare beauty and aim through traditional craftsmanship to create a piece that will live forever.” Kat Florence.
ABOUT A DROP OF LIFE
A Drop of Life is a non-profit organization registered in Hong Kong and operating internationally for the last 18 years. In May 2015, a heart-breaking earthquake destroyed many homes and structures throughout Nepal. Since then, children have been continuing to attend unsafe ruins and temporary classrooms built of bamboo. Schools are the heartbeat of the community and the one location where children feel safe, happy and confident to explore. Due to lack of government funding and difficulty getting supplies to Nepal, there have been no plans to develop local schools. A Drop of Life has created the necessary relationships and avenues to allow a rebuild to happen. As a former teacher Kat Florence feels very passionate about giving every child the opportunity to learn in a safe and positive environment. Kat hopes to share her passion with the world in order to raise funds to support A Drop of Life and the children of Nepal.

Mariah Carey's Engaged!
On Thursday Night, the singer revealed that she and boyfriend James Packer are now engaged after less than a year of dating. The engagement ring is a massive 35 carats, which is slightly bigger than Elizabeth Taylor's famous 33.19 carat diamond! It is approximately the same size as Kim K's and Beyonce's rings combined. The ring is said to have a value of around $7.5 million.
